In your mercy, spare a prayer for me. Having made it through the holidays for the sake of the children, I am now falling into an abyss of unbearable sorrow and unspeakable loss.
Please, I beg your prayers for me and my children.

And Simeon blessed them,
and said to Mary, His Mother,
Behold, this Child
is set for the fall,
and for the resurrection
of many in Israel,
and for a sign
which shall be contradicted;
and thy own soul
a sword shall pierce
that, out of many hearts,
thoughts may be revealed.
Luke 2:34-35

My Most Holy Mother Mary, Ever-a-Virgin, look upon me with pity and give me strength and courage to bear my cross of sorrow and pain as you did...by quietly treasuring all these things in my heart! Help me to remember that the emptiness and absence that my beloved left is a good thing because it leaves that space in my heart only for him. Help me to treasure this space and keep it adorned with gentle prayers for love of him! Keep me busy O Mother and help me to enter into the pain that others are having...that I may think of them rather than myself. May whatever I can do for others grow and in the process...may I find some solace for my own soul! Grant me your presence O Virgin and stay close by me during these days to lift me from my sadness. I try what the Lord is allowing in my life and even when I don't, I know that He will never abandon me. Be with me also and hold my hand! I love You O Lord; I love you my Mother!

In Jesus & Mary,
+Fr. Gregory

+Father Archimandrite Gregory, who asks for your holy prayers!

Many prayers to our Lady Theotokos for the unbearable sorrow our sister in Christ is feeling.

May our Lord carry her through this difficult time, and help her reach the light that will be at the end of the tunnel at the appropriate time.

My heart and soul are in prayer for you dearest, dearest sister.

With all my love,
and a big cyber hug,
Alice
