Please pray for my sister's mother-in-law, Linda, who is dying of cancer as we speak.
She is a Presbyterian, who in recent months has taken a real interest in the Miraculous Medal. She was diagnosed as the same time as her brother Jim just a few months ago. Jim fell asleep in the Lord last week, and it looks like Linda will not survive the weekend. (She has not yet been told about her brother.)
Please pray for either a miraclulous cure or a holy death. She leaves behind many close friends and family, including my parents and siblings. Please pray for their consolation as well. She will be dearly missed.

Thank you all for your kind prayers.
We found out that Linda's cancer spread to her lungs, and so she was put on a ventilator to aid her breathing. Since nothing else can be done and she is clearly in the latter stages of dying, her family has elected to remove her ventilator tomorrow at 1pm EST. She may pass right away or she may live for several more hours or days. Her immediate family, including my sister, will be with her at that moment.
My father and mother went to her bedside at Duke today and prayed the prayers and readings for the sick and the dying. They had wanted a particular priest to come and annoint her, but he was ill, so my father read the prayers.
Anyway, if you would, please remember her and her family tomorrow, especially her dear parents who just buried their son after he died last week from cancer.

Thank you again for all of your prayers.
Linda passed away peacefully some 15 minutes after being removed from the ventilator yesterday. She opened her eyes and looked at my sister and her daughter who were on either side of her holding her hands and praying, and then she quietly slipped away.
Linda will be best remembered for her generous self-giving and quick wit (no one was ever able to keep up!). Her son and my brother-in-law, Graham offered a great tribute to her. He said her favorite place to be was with you doing whatever you enjoyed. The three months since her diagnosis went too quickly, leaving behind her husband, two children, three grandchildren, both parents, a sister and a whole host a family and friends.
Eternal memory!
