Wow! What an unkind thing to say about his mother. Can you believe...?

That was unkind. YES, Pope John Paul's mother was Ukrainian - fact is fact. Like we've said here before: Some people don't know what they don't know. Amen!

I'm sure LT's comment was just a tongue-in-cheek jab at Alex. Lighten up, folks! There have been some very unkind things said about JPII in recent days; I'm sure this was not intended to be one of them.

JPII was a wonderful man. Actually, although I hate to admit it, Alex is OK, too. Taking jabs at Alex is a favorite pastime, since he almost thinks John the Baptist was Ukrainian. Latin Trad was just kidding and so was I. If you really want to get Alex going, ask him about that Russian city called Kiev.

Charles: How dare you spell Kyiv as "Kiev" and then, adding insult to injury, calling it a Russian city? Nyet! Amado P.S. "Chicken a la Kyiv," anyone?

Is outrage! Was it Russian City in 19th century Russia? Actually, I think it was. Is still outrage!
