Dear Friends,

I post this by way of thanksgiving to Almighty God and Blessed Theodore Romzha for finally purchasing a new home on Monday night.

Our lives were really "taken over" by the drive to find a new home - something that continued unrelentingly for the past two years.

This is how it happened.

On Monday I received in the mail an icon of Blessed Theodore Romzha through the kindness of our Administrator!

That night, we made an offer on a home in a neighbourhood where homes were going at rather high prices.

We made a low offer and stood firm.

Another couple made a much higher offer, but we were obliged to hang around to get the formal word.

We stayed from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm when our realtor emerged to congratulate us on our new home!

Somehow, the owners refused to deal with anyone except us, even though ours was the low offer!!

Even the realtor was mesmerized. My wife began to cry uncontrollably and the only thing I thought of was the Administrator's icon of Blessed Theodore Romzha . . .

I am still at a loss to explain how this came to be, especially in this volatile housing market where homes in that neighbourhood are going for over a million dollars!

I thank the Administrator for his kindness in sharing devotion to Blessed Theodore Romzha with us, and for his prayers.

To quote Psalm 33/34:

"O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together, I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears . . . this poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles!"

Dear Don,

Thank you for your great kindness, Friend and Servant of Christ.

It is at moments like these that I truly feel humbled to know people like you through the Forum.

This has deepened my spiritual life. I know that there were times when I had given up hope that our lives could ever get back to normal.

I know for a fact that God truly used our Administrator to bring this peace in our family about through the intercession of Bl. Theodore Romzha.

Moreso than having a wonderful home, we have peace and we have each other.

We are truly enriched and blessed!

Thank you for being you, Administrator!!

Alex

Bless me a sinner, Reverend Father Elias!

I am so happy today that I didn't even mind being called "only a layman" by my friend, Ephraim Reynolds. At least, not too much . . .

But I don't care what my status is.

God loves me, and all of us!

That's the most important thing. If He wanted me to be a priest, I probably could not have afforded this home wink

Also, I wish I could be near the Adminstrator so I could hug him in thanksgiving and love - and take him to lunch.

And you and Don too!!

Dear Alex,

I pray that your new home be filled with happiness and love. May those who come to visit you there find Joy and may you find Joy in their coming.

I join the others in thanking God for His graciousness and generosity toward you and your wife. I pray that all of your wishes will be fulfilled there.

I thank God for giving us your presence here.

Congratulations!

Ad Multos Annos!

Haha, the things I might have to look forward to... :p

Congrats on the new home! May Christ, who brought salvation to the house of Zacchaeus by staying with him bring His Love and Peace to yours by staying with you. God bless you and the missus. smile

Dear Steve and Catholicos,

(Steve, could I consecrate you "papal protosyngellos?")

As for my presence, you can have it - any time wink

The whole thing really blew me away and the timing of the Administrator's icon could not have been better.

I really do feel that this was a personal miracle, can't explain it, but there you have it.

Everyone in my family wanted to know about the Administrator, where did I come across him etc.

We are truly "in awe," really no pun intended, with the Administrator as truly the one who "administered" God's help to us through His Martyr, Blessed Theodore.

The peace and joy that we now experience as a family is something that only God can give through his true servants.

Dear MsGuided,

Thank you and you are too kind!

In actual fact, the whole suffering experience that preceded this event humbled me and showed me areas of sin in my life that I had become insensitive to.

Continual prayer is something we need to strive after and, in my case, it purified my sense, showed me the error of my ways, corrected them and led me to depend on God alone.

And now God is teaching me even more humility as a lack of concentration has befallen me so that I can't be proud of my prayer.

Thank you for your kindness, dear Servant of God, and may God bless you richly, now and always!

Dear Alex,

It is so comforting to hear that even you are still learning to place all of your trust in God wink It's quite a virtue, one which is tested daily in ordinary life. I'm glad to hear that you are taking your fortunes and misfortunes humbly. I can stand to learn a thing or two from you smile
Pray for this sinner,

MsGuided

Dear Alex:

I rejoice in your happiness, and pray God for the health and prosperity of you and your wife.

May God grant you both many years.

Jose

PS.
In the Azores people give little statuetts or icons of St. Onophrius to friends who are looking for a home. But I see that Blessed Theodore Romzha did you just fine.

Dear Jose,

I will be sure to get an image of St Onuphrios!

The Ukrainian Catholic Church has a great devotion to him and there is a Catholic Akathist in his honour in the "Akathistnyk" of 1893 that I have!

Before he died, he said he would grant a favour to anyone who lit a candle for his mother!

The area we will live in is called "Lawrence Park" after the old Anglican parish of St Lawrence.

I promised to put up an icon of St Lawrence if we ever lived there.

What was that URL of Holy Transfiguration Monastery? smile

Bom Dia,

Alex
