O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who has sent your Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do now visit and heal your priest-servant James, granting him release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that he may give thanks to you and bless your holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Christ,
Theophilos

Did anyone go to the service for Father last night in Wilkes-Barre? Anymore on his condition? Prayers continue.

Any recent news on Fr. James? May the Lord heal him quickly. I just received an email from Nikita Borisov mentioning he was setting up a vestment and religious goods showcase at Fr. James' church this weekend - but that may have been planned some time ago.

I attended the service in Wilkes-Barre last night, and it was really beautiful. Six Byzantine Catholic priests came, with five of them serving the Canon of Supplication. Two Orthodox priests and one Orthodox protodeacon attended. The church was full, mostly with parishioners but also with a fair amount of guests (like me). The singing was powerful. You could feel the "duch" in the air. biggrin It was a genuine outpouring of love for Fr. James.

Diak, I also got Nikita's e-mail, and was a little perplexed (especially since it said "Saturday, July 14"; what calendar is he on?) but I assume that it was something planned some time ago.

I heard that Fr. Hayer was finally released from the hospital yesterday, and has been moved to a rehab facility in Wilkes Barre; I don't know how long he will be in Rehab.

My prayers continue for his recovery, and for a quick return to his ministry.

May God grant him many blessed years!!
