Your situation is certainly not something which hasn't been experienced by men and women for ages and many of them married. The difference is that during this time there is much encouragement to "out", as you say, about the "gayness". It is considered as therapeutic for the person who has SSA as well as the spouse. I not sure that IS the best way, but it is done now..so...
I echo John's comments about knowing that God loves you and your family.
Nemo, you have asked for prayers and that is what we will do..my husband and I...we will pray for both you and your family... that this can now be resolved in the best possible way for both of you.
May the healing love and mercy of God be shed abroad in your hearts by the Holy Spirit...
Mary Jo

Byzantinemo, I have already started praying for you and your whole situation. I pray that the good God will bring reconciliation and healing to your marriage. Never forget that no matter how hard or long or miserable the struggle is, the prize at the end so far outweighs it that we could not even comprehend the reward in this life. Life is indeed short and bitter, but if we are faithful the never-ending eternity will be beyond our wildest dreams. Keep fighting, keep confessing, keep casting yourself upon the infinite Mercy of God. Hang in there. May I respectfully remind everyone that this forum "prayer" is limited to requests for prayer, and prayers.
Comments, advice, and discussion best belongs other places in this forum (town hall, for example).
thank you,
Elias

Everyone,
I know that we are supporting Nemo in prayer in this extremely difficult period in his life. At this point in consultation with another moderator, we think it best to close this thread off for the time being.
Like in other places, besides the offering of prayers, other advice is being given, most of which very few on this forum are in the position to do. Before something is offered that can be detrimental to Nemo's emotional or spiritual well being, it was thought it best to end the thread.
I know Nemo will keep us up to date on the situation. Right now, he needs time to address the issues, and he needs our fervent prayers before the Lord and His Holy Mother to help guide him and heal the situation with his family.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai
