I will be entering a few weeks of physical difficulties. I am secheduleld to have a bit of cancer removed from my lung.
At this point, the origin has not yet been identified and the tests to see if it has matastized(sp)from some plece else (a not-good situation) is tomorrow.
There will be so much that is unknown, during these next wks, right up to surgery. By the time of surgery we all hope to have as much information as needed. At this point (because my doctors are good) the rush is on for surgery as soon as possible, if not sooner, and other questions will be asnwered while going there. This will all move very quickly.
I would ask for prayers for my family. It is not easy for me to be helpless as they face the possibility of not having a father, and not having a husband. This is not a good situation for them and there is nothing I can do about it. The boys would get over it if it went bad. But married for over 30 years - the lose of your husband is a wound that a wife would bleed from for the rest of her time down here.
MY prayer to God has -always- been that I am there for her through life and there to ease her over through death... and then follow (my task and of voows of love being completed).
I ask that the Good Lord allow me to complete my vows and task... and when that is done... come quickly for me. In way of marriage I have always asked that I be the last and not the first. I could stand the lonely years after - but that would be a hard thing for wife. Her own father and mother taken away early - she already has the wounds of loved ones ripped away from her very far too early. Other see her as a stable and compassionate rock - and so they go to her for comfort because she is like a mother to them. Only with me, I see the little girl living inside. I was very concious of choosing to become her guardian. I am her - rock. May that not be taken from her.
Thank you.

Dear Ray and family,
Ron and I will be praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for you and your family as we travel via motor home to Arizona this week.
Be of good courage! Jesus heals even CA. But may the will of God be done. We pray you are in excellent medical hands as well.
God bless you and give you and Cathy peace,
Mary Jo...fifteen years past chemo and cancer free.

Saint Luke, Saints Cosmas and Damien, patrons of physicians, guide Ray's physicians in their diagnosis and treatment of his disease. Holy Theotokos and Blessed Saint Joseph, patron of fathers and families, look down with favor and love on Ray and his family, enfold them in your arms, comfort and protect them, and intercede for them at the Holy Throne as they face the unknown factors involved in Ray's diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Ray, you, Cathy, and your sons will all be in my prayers.
Many years,
Neil

My deepest and most heartfelt prayers for you and your family at this time.
Believe me I can empathize with your situation, as my Mom's recent health problems have caused be some of the worst stress I've ever encountered in my life. You'll be in my prayers frequently in the days ahead.

Dear Ray,
You have brought to this forum so much enthusiasm for scriptures and a wealth of knowledge, but most importantly, your warm and caring personality. Your desire for the reconciliation of East and West, and your deep spiritual appreciation for both, has inspired me and given me hope that one day this dream may come to fruition.
Your heartfelt request for prayer brought many tears to my eyes...your love is selfless and pure for your family...
I promise to add you to my prayer list today, and to continue praying for your health and well being.
God bless you and your family at this trying time.
With much love in Christ Jesus, Alice

Almighty God in the abundance of your tender mercies wipe away Ray's fears and tears because there is no fear except in you alone. Let him know You alone are the Rock on which his family stands.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, reach down and take the cancer from Ray's lungs. Through your death on the Life Giving Cross, you said we are healed. We beleive that Word for Ray.
I thank you Jesus for I have known so many that you healed from lung cancer, and set their feet back on solid ground. They are walking testimonies to your miraculous graces. Come Lord Jesus and do the same for Ray and all of those on the forum who are suffering in anyway with cancer. Heal them all and make them whole, so that their bodies are operating in accordance with your Word for you are the Word Incarnate, and you said by your stripes we are healed. Thank You Jesus for doing what you said, in your mighty Name. Amen

Dear Ray,
Our brother, how can we begin to address this need, except to humbly place you under our Mother's mantle. My words are failing. You have given so much of your life to others in your words and deeds.
May our Lord see fit to restore your health, and to use you for the benefit of His Church and your own family, your Church at home.
I will continue to offer prayer for you. Your Master knows the needs of your health, soul, and of your family. Trust in Him.
Tammy
