Dear all:

My mother will be in Sn Antonio, Texas for a week, and wishes to visit any religious store for buying some Icons and some articles for our parish. Does anyone know of an Eastern Christian Religious Store in Sn Antonio? I would greatly appreciate your help inasmuch as it is very difficult to get Eastern Christian articles down here in Mexico.

God bless you all.

Off hand, I do not...but I do know that Eastern Christian Supply CO. in CA does ship VERY reasonably internationally.

Gaudior, who wishes you luck on your quest

Bernardo, I did not see one when I was there last year. There is an Eastern Orhtodox Church there that might know where on is. I e-mailed the priest about attending liturgy there, and he responded promptly and was welcoming (I didn't make it to liturgy, though). I did get to a monastary in Blanco, about an hour north of San Antonio that is in a beautiful setting and has a nice gift shop. Their chapel is quite beautiful, also.
Peace, Jeni

Jeni, Blanco has had some rather serious issues in the past...I do not think they are Orthodox anymore...

Gaudior, who shudders when hearing of that monastery

Guadior,
I didn't know about the issues before I went, but the monk who showed us around was very forthcoming about the problems there. In spite of all of those issues, the place was very peaceful and I enjoyed my visit.
Peace, Jeni
