Dave stated "I think He said "Ukrainian and Ruthenian priests will wear high backs, but do not be troubled, for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet here."

Must be in the New American Bible translation;)

The service went well today, and I had a chance to talk to Archbishop Vsevolod. There were the two Ukr. Orthodox priests from L.A. and a good turnout. no high backs though :p

Dear Friends,

I worry much more about Hierarchs on high horses,
than Hierarchs who allow highbacks. biggrin

Here's a slopy poem. What do you guys think?

Highbacks are fair
for those who don't care
and for those who do care
can do nothing but stare.

Priests with wide sleeves
with beards to their knees
some feel at ease
while others displeased

But what's the big deal
if the priest is ideal
and he leads us to the splendid Light

How dare we judge
and to hold such a grudge
on a person who does all
and cares.
