This is only the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure the unmarried man got away with a wrist slap. May God have mercy on the soul of this poor, mentally ill girl!

HE WILL !

I believe that there is no GOD but GOD.

I believe that the LORD is merciful.

I believe, along with St. Alphonsus, that
with the LORD, there is plentiful redemption.

--------------------------------------------

I can not believe that anyone can see anything in Islam that represents the LORD.

Unfortunately, there are many who see value in that stuff.

Especially scary is the thought that lots of women seem to think this sharia is "good", and raise their sons and daughters to follow.

Iran also recently hanged 2 gay young men. May God free the Iranian people from such tyranny!

Strict moral codes of behavior according to the precepts of the Ten commandments and the Scriptures, in and of themselves are not bad.

They have been manifest in all societies to some degree until recently.

What is bad is that:

1.there is no mercy in punishment for breaking these moral codes.

2.and that in both Christian and Muslim societies throughout history, there has been a double standard.

The Bible does not state that fornication or adultery are sinful *only* if you are a woman.
Rather, that has been a man made innovation of male dominated societies.

The words that I wanted to say "that's sick" don't quite seem strong enough to me.

We learned about killings such as this in Jordan in sociology class. They call it a mercy killing there or something like that. In other words if your unmarried daughter so much as sneaks off with a guy that is not a relative or her betrothed then a family memeber can kill her and only go to jail for a year or two. It's so sick.

That is horrible!!! We should pray for their conversion...

But as a proud citizen of a country that allows the killing of babies like it's our job, I don't know if I'd be pointing fingers...

Honour killings occur all across the Muslim world. A female does not have to have actualy have brought dishonour on her family by actually having sex. In some places it is enough to have been thought to have been sexual. The pressure is then on Father's, brother, uncles, grandfathers to do the right thing and slit the offending female relatives's throat to redeem the family honour. Much has been made of this information in the TV media and books in the west. There are even organisations that help women to escape if there is time to organise such a thing. Some years ago I saw a documentary on such a group based in France that helped women and girls to escape to France.

Yeah, even if the woman was forcibly raped, they still kill her. Which never made any sense to me, I guess my reaction would be to want to kill the guy that did it, not my female relative.
