Has anyone seen the new picture My Big Fat Greek Wedding? If so, could you let me know if it is OK to go see,i.e. is religion being made fun of, or is portrayed in a bad light. I have been debating with my self if I should go and see it? Any help will be appriciated.

I thought the movie was pretty good, and, all things considered, rather clean.
The parts that were filmed in the church showed nothing derogatory about the Orthodox Faith.

My vote: one thumb up!

Our local Greek programs in Baltimore/Washington have been very laudatory of the film. In fact, in a number of cities, a part of the proceeds are being donated to "Trinity" ministries, a program of the Greek Orthodox Church that is to help women and children in need.

As I understand it (my Greek is kinda weak), the Greek Orthodox community is a more than willing participant in the promotion of this film.

So, TAKE EVERYBODY YOU CAN to see this film. (I have yet to see it, but I assure you I will at the earliest opportunity, and if there is anything negative, I'll post it here.)
