Dear David,

Well, with your use of smilies . . . smile

Are you suggesting I'm not loyal to Rome? ( smile )

It DOES bother me insofar as it makes me feel I'm not accepted unless I become formally Orthodox (not in communion with Rome).

He was an Anglican, so he has no need to "return" to Rome. (Unless you mean the old Catholic argument that the Orthodox "left Rome" - in that case, they were never "under Rome" either).

And don't get me started on the subject of Rome these days . . .

Alex,
I never thought you weren't loyal to the Church.

As for what I mean by telling him to return to Rome.... I think I will let it stand as is and you, and others, can guess at what I mean.... :p

But you bring up a good point which is all the more reason to use it... Let him try to figure out what you mean, maybe that will shut him up on telling you to become orthodox.

Or as you do here, explain how you are already orthodox. smile

David
