NBC News and the Associated Press are reporting that people in 8 American states have been infected with the potentially deadly illness, e. coli. The one thing they had in common was that they recently ate bagged spinach. At least one person is dead and over 50 people are sick. The FDA is advising people in the U.S. to avoid eating bagged spinach. Here is a link to the story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14841731/ -- John

The only civilized way to eat spinach anyway is fresh spinach, cooked and used to make fataya, spanakopita, pita sa spinatom, vospapur, shomini aboor, or quiche Many years, Neil

30 years of experience in the sanitation field tells me that this product was either grown and or washed with tainted water...
Could it be a bio-act of terrorism ? Could be...alot of fruit and veggies are produced south of the border...which includes Central & South America...
