Ok, here is a bit of news, no matter what you think of either one of these people. I wonder if this is really true? Interesting anyway http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/ny-usrove0907,0,2231980.story?coll=ny-leadnationalnews-headlines

Definitely an appropriate action. Maybe a followup for the Senate chambers?

Karl Rove is hardly a moral exemplar. I would take Senator Hilary Clinton over him any day.

Is Karl Rove Catholic? I've never heard that he is. Whenever a connection is made from President Bush to Catholicism, it always goes through his brother.

Karl Rove is an avowed agnostic. He played to a certain constituency to get more votes for his candidate and quite cynically helping President Bush use phrases like "Gospel of Life" coined by Pope John Paul in order to appeal to Catholics.. That is horrible to my way of thinking and an insult to true religious Faith.

Can I remind all here that I have vowed to BOTH Democrat posters AND Republican posters on this board that we would refer to our Presidents and politicians in the manner befitting their positions--in other words with their respective titles. Please try to be mindful of this rule that is being set forth because it is not only proper and befitting of Christians to do so, but because it will also help keep the tone more positive and will help keep peace between everyone here in political discussions. Besides, I am getting a bit tired of inserting 'Senator' and 'President' everywhere!!! Sincerely, Alice, Moderator

Thank you for doing that Alice - the Senator thing. I didn't mean any disrespect. That is WHY I TRIED TO EMPHASIZE NO OPINONS ON THE PEOPLE - just to respond to the happening.
Thanks again Pani Rose

Thanks again Pani Rose I know that you, of all people, Pani Rose, would *never* mean any disrespect towards anybody. Please don't give it another thought. In Christ, Alice

Karl Rove is hardly a moral exemplar. I would take Senator Hilary Clinton over him any day. And Senator Hillary Clinton is a regular paragon of virtue. I live in Florida these days but I will say I am deeply ashamed that my home state (from Albany) saw fit to elect this woman as a carpet bag senator. Nothing to be proud of there. Maybe the voters will see fit to excorcise Senator Clinton from the Senate.

Brian, I actually think that it is quite natural for a someone running for any office of leadership to accomodate his language to his audience. The difference between President Bush and former President Clinton is that President Bush has kept his word on that front in a myriad of ways, while President Clinton would fake right and move left. (That is until the Republicans took the House.) As to the benefit of exorcism, I have no doubt that Washington is full of possessed and oppressed people on both sides of the aisle, and a myriad in the murky bureaucratic middle. Satan, ever full of pride, murderous and desirous of the halls of power, always finds an assortment of like minded beings in such a milieu. It is one of the reasons why we should always pray for our leaders, that they might not be lead into temptation... Gordo

From the article: Later, Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines quipped, "If the story is true ... they sure did exorcize any lingering competence right out of the building." LOL! Seriously! Logos Teen

She is the one of the safest of all the members of the Senate- I guess they like her or to quote Sally Field "they REALLY like her"
