I received this via e-mail the other day and am still laughing. I just had to post it.

c'mon, saur kraut pierogies are awesome! Maybe the papal chef will just have to stuff them with kraut instead!

I could do without the cottage cheese ones, maybe.

Lieber Herr Administrator,

Perohy with sauerkraut are quite the delicacy in Bavaria . . .

Also, a large part of Ukrainian culinary cooking is also very German - kolbassa, bratwurst, knackwurst, sauerkraut/kapusta . . .

I know all the "big noises" in our parish were weaned on it . . .

An army of irate Babas, armed with wooden spoons, is converging on the Vatican even as I write. Perogies Forever!

Until interjurisdictional conflicts between the potato and kapusta factions (not to mention the fruit-filled, always an extreme sect) threaten to divide the whole bloody movement....

Well that's what I thought of when I saw B16 with the sauerkraut: Divide et impera!

They became known as the Barabolniks and the Kapustniks. The "fruit-filled", well, they were just fruity.

Alex was that all the big "noises" ( as would happen from too much saur kraut) or big noses, either way a very smelly thing dont you think.

Perhaps we should provide the Holy Father with a nice bowl of perogies made with wild blueberries. I predict that His Holiness will define that this dish belongs right up there with sachertorte as an offering of sublime sweetness!
