This Saturday ( the Feast of Lazaros) is my Father in Law's name day.
Can anyone help me with a greeting in either
Macedonian, Slavic or Greek.
I'm sure he'd get a kick out of hearing his Irish/Scottish Catholic son in law greet his name day in his mother tongue.

By the way.. if any of you remember, he had a fall on new year's eve, he is now scheduled to return to work on Eastern Monday (May 2nd)

Thanks.

Greek: Chronia Polla
Ukrainian: Mnohaia Lita

Both meaning: Many Years

Gaudior, linguistically

there's always:

"z Praznykom"

(loosely transl. "Happy Feast Day" It's actually the short form of a longer phrase meaning "I congratulate you on your Name Day (guardian angel day) I think)

Christ is risen!

Herb

ps:

If I'm not mistake, Macedonian has a hard "g": so Gaudior's phrase would be better understood if you said: "Mnogaya Leta".

I'm not fluent in Macedonian, but I feel I could hold my own.
I understand the Macedonian word for years to phonetically be "godeenee".
