Did Illya transmogrify into "Feed my goats"? That name is getting a little close to home here... eek I know all about separating the sheep from the goats...

I guess it's the province of a "kziondza syn" to tell us who will be the proverbial sheep and who will be the goats.

Funny, I never recall my dad exercising this power. Or maybe it's only newcomer priestly families that get this special blessing.

We raise sheep and goats for a hobby, that was a bad inside joke there...when it comes to separating the sheep from the goats in humans, I leave that for Khristos Chelovikolyubets'.

Amin!

OK. Someone has to cry "uncle" here and put an end to this. (No pun intended, otche Petre smile ).

So, here 'goes!

UNCLE!!!!!

Now, if anyone wants to engage in a real discussion about my linguistic point above, please, feel free.

Dear Diak:

Here's a re-post:

BTW, I just spoke with a Slavic linguist who informs me that there is no way to differentiate between a reference to Rus' and Russia in the Russian language (or as I like to call it, the Northern Ukrainian dialect).

Take that for what it's worth.

I thought there was a distinction between Rus' and Rossia but again that might just be some old Zakarpatska half na pew hill patois in my head.

I don't get you kl. what's you're deal? why the family bashing all of the sudden? I can't believe I am dignifying the above with a response.

and Randy,

one of my dreams is to have a goat and a big garden. In ukraine i saw goats tied up in front of apartment buildings, the center of bullovards, they were everywhere. it was very cool.

later,

илїя

Dear Friends,

We have only just recovered [ well some of us anyway biggrin ] from a thread where there was a lot of 'bashing ' being done .

Can we stop this developing into another display of 'you hit me - I did not - yes you did so there ' type thing ? Please ?

I've never know a summer like this one, in the few years [ 2? 3?] I have been on the Forum.

Anhelyna - who has seen a few folk come and go and some come back. I don't want to lose any more friends wink

So Illya, when we come up to see your father this fall, do you want me to bring one? I have a really nice brown Nubian named Lily(anna) and her milk is superb. Makes great brenza and feta. But, what will the neighbors say in Toronto... eek
