Since there has been some interest in a chat room Ive created a very simple java based page. ByzCathChat can be found at:

https://www.byzcath.org/chat.htm

The chat room is offered for evaluation purposes. Please post in this thread to let us know how it works. If it is popular we will consider adding it as a permanent feature. For now the chat room will be unmonitored. If you are in the chat room and experience any unchristian behavior from other chatters please contact me immediately so that I can take the page down.

It might be useful for testing purposes to schedule a group chat (i.e., Monday at 9 PM ET).

Hey, that's pretty neat! I tried it and it took almost a minute to load up, then everything ran smooth. I was in the chat room alone and it seemed quite pleasant. Oh by the way, I left the light on wink

Thank you dear Admin!

Yeah it is good.

If it seems to take a while to load click your refresh arrow that will make it quicker.

I like! biggrin

Dear John,

I visited the chat room and it seems to be easy to use.

I hope that as time goes on more of us will be able to connect there and come to know eachother even better.

Thanks for all you and the moderators do to maintain the quality of the forum and charity among and between those of us who post here!

Steve

Checked it out. Basic, but nice. No one else there. Perhaps a set time to meet would be wise.

Setting a time for the chatroom seems to me to be essential so maybe we can get more than one in at a time and we can get something going? Maybe you could post something in this thread? Just a suggestion.

Sunday evening at that time would be good for me.
