I will be attending a meeting in Buffalo in about 3 weeks.
Are there any Byzantine Catholic churches in the area?
What about Orthodox? I will have a car and am willing to drive about an hour.
What about over the border in Canada?

In Buffalo there is; St. Stephen 620 Ayer Rd. Amherst, NY 14221 Phone: 716-688-9290
I have visited there once, but unfortunatly it is over an hour away, I live in Rochester. I plan to try to get out there at least once a month in the summer.

I believe there are seven various Eastern Catholic churches in Buffalo and its surrounding communities. There are also several other Orthodox parishes in addition to the OCA:
1 Macedonian 1 Ukrainian 3 ROCOR 1 Greek (see Brian's post above) 1 Carpatho-Russian 1 Holy Orthodox Church in America community.

St. Nicholas is a beautiful church. The pastor, Father Marijan Procyk, is a married priest originally from the Eparchy of Krizhevtci.

The correct telephone number for St. Basil's Ukrainian Cath. Church in Lancaster is 683-0313. Vespers on Saturday are at 7pm, Divine Liturgy on Sunday is at 8am, and there is a children's Liturgy on the last Sunday of the month at 11:30 am (sermon is directed towards the children). Wednesdays and Fridays during the Great Fast we have Presanctified with Vespers on the other days (call for exact times). Our pastor is Fr. Robert Moreno. Services are for the most part in English. We extend a welcome to you and hope that you will be able to visit us.

Welcome to the Forum, Debby, Thank you for the correction. I edited my earlier post to correct the information. It's been about seven years since my most recent visit to Buffalo, but I found the people up there to be very welcoming to visitors.
