Gaudior, who does not presume to know God's mind either... [/b]Actually, Florida has been hit several times. But so far, the damage has consisted mostly of loss of property, not loss of life.

Well two Scriptures came to mind reading Fr. Gregory and Randy's discussion. I have forgot the second one.
Holy Father bless
Revelations 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelations 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelations 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Ahhh here it is John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. ~~~~~~~
All to many times we go to confession and feel great to be cleansed of our sins. Then we walk out the Chuch door and start all over again. Be careful, when continually accuse ourselves of our sin, we are dening Gods Truth, we just celebrated his Passion and Resurrecion, to allow ourselves to be continually accused is to say Christ is a lyer.
It is the accuser of the brethern you are fighting. Yes, we all sin, and we all fall short of the glory of God, but if we sit around fighting these accusations then we miss the moment that God has at hand for us. Don't let the darkness of this world steal God's present time from you. Believe what he says in John 10. If you are still stuggling apply 1 John 4.
1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
If the continual fighting with yourslef can stand that verse, then it is of God. If it is not of God, it must flee. Don't let the accuer of this world take you time away from the LOVE OF CHRIST!

It is dangerous to try and read tragedy as a message from God. Do you suggest that most of the poor souls lost in the tsunami were involved in persecuting Christians? Or even that the good guys always win in this world? Maybe God's message was to the Christians, to help the suffering Muslims during these holy seasons. Personally, looking around here, I think Ohio is overdue for a natural disaster...

Forgive me .... I always believe that our Lord spoke to us in all our circumstances and events in our Life. Some we are not reading the writing on the wall yet.. but even the time of Pharaoh, our merciful God have used natural disaster to punish the Pharoah for persecuting the Jews. It is also written in the Revelation that .. natural disaster is one of the sign from our Almighty God.
I think that we need to live our life to be more forgiving and prayer but not miss reading the writing on the wall.
Yes, we should forgive those who persecute Christians around the world... so that we too be forgiven....but , the persecutor dont forgive the sin Christians committed to them.
