An astounding assertion has been made that at least one person on this forum believes Mr. Bush is a god. He even accuses others of believing the same thing. I believe a poll is in order.

I think it's quite possible that he is Satan incarnate, or at least that his VP is!

I very much dislike this thread and poll but will allow it for the moment. I dislike it because there is no history of anyone on this forum calling the president a god, although there are several who have called him a false god.
If any Christian here desires to make the formal accusation against someone else for being Satan, Satan incarnate, or something similar they had better provide chapter and verse of the offense, Church teaching that shows such an offense is indeed satanic, and be able to defend their charge. If they do not they will loose their posting privileges. I state right now that statements like I think the war is evil so Bush is Satan or I think that the Democrats support of abortion means all Democrats are Satan are not acceptable. An acceptable statement is I believe that person As position on Issue X is evil because of reasons B, C, and D found in Church teaching Y and Z.
I ask Logos Teen to either provide such evidence to support the serious charge he has made or to withdraw the charge. If not, he will loose his posting privileges.
I recommend to those people who dislike President Bushs and Republican policies to comment on his policies and not his person.
Similarly, I recommend to those who dislike the policies of the Democrat Party to comment on those policies.
This is not a suggestion. This is a Forum requirement.
Speak about issues and ideas.
Do not denigrate individuals.

Why thank you Ray. Apparently you aren't keeping up with all of the posts. I too have other things to do but I did note that one of the regulars here called him a false god and charged that others thought he was a god.

I have read or seen it elsewhere when Pres. G.W. became "God." Back in 2000, at the Texas White House, one of the reporters gasped upon hearing the U.S. Supreme Court decision favoring Bush: "Oh, my God, Al Gore lost the election!" Passing by her (she must have been female), G.W. Bush interjected: "Did you call me?" And the rest is, as they say, history! Amado

I will not comment on the soul of our President because I do not know him personally. I respect the office of the Presidency, and out of that respect, I will not degrade the man.
I do, however, disagree with many of his policies, especially the war.
Only human in history has been God, and I pretty sure it wasn't a man from Texas.

I had hoped that when the election ended, some of the political stuff would die down. I guess I need to make that a prayer intention.

Well, the results are in. Most of the posters on this forum do not think that Mr. Bush is a god. For that I am very thankful. It helps to confirm my decision to join the BC Church a few years ago. Perhaps those who think he is a god should go to your confessor. Perhaps those who were offended by this poll should take a vacation and enjoy life more.
As much as I appreciate the passion behind the original poster who prompted this poll I think that sometimes we all need to be teased out of our overly strident displays and see humor in our excesses. Since the point has been made I wouldn't mind if this poll now disappeared.

Hmm. It looks like there are several "true believers."
I am opposed to Bush on the invasion of Iraq, the Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, putting the USA back into UNESCO, "civil unions" for same-sex couples, and a lot of other issues.
Under Bush's watch (and active direction), the last vestiges of republican government have been swept away from this land. The executive branch has been expanded at the expense of the balance of powers, the federal government has been expanded at the expense of the states, and governmental authority has been increased immensely at the expense of the citizens. America has become a global empire with client states on the other side of the world. The sun never sets on our dominions--and Bush is apparently willing to expand our military involvement in the Middle East rather than shrink it.
Abortion continues, while Bush spends his "political capital" elsewhere. One day, pro-life America will wake up to the fact that they have been hoodwinked all along by the careerist politicians in the GOP. Maybe that day will come soon, when the Republican party nominates pro-abort Giuliani for President, and the GOP's paid spokesmen in the NRLC urge us to vote for the "lesser of two evils" once more.
