Dear Lauro,

Are you one of those Ukrainian Catholic Jews for Jesus? wink

Ba shana haba bi-Yerushalayim! Next year in Jerusalem - or Kyiv, as the case may be. . .

...according to the Gregorian Calendar.

Then again, wouldn't celebration of the "Immaculate Conception" according to the Julian be somewhat contradictory? smile

Yours,

hal - who thinks all that orange vitamin C just may have gone to his head

Happy Chanukah!

I was just having a good intentioned and good hearted laugh with my mom and daugter...

I lit my first Chanukah Menorah at my place of employment yesterday! I made a blunder (stupid me!)...I lit the first candle to the right, (it is supposed to be to the left), and I lit it before sundown!!!! eek

Fortunately, I have wonderful and good natured Jewish bosses! cool

Getting back to our own religion....

a very blessed feast day of the Immaculate conception of Mary today, or the Conception by St. Anna of the Most Holy Theotokos and Ever Virgin Mary tomorrow....depending on which side of the cultural divide of the Church you are on! wink

I thought the correct term was, "Leshana haba b' Yerushalayim!"

Happy Hanukkah indeed to any of our Jewish brethren who may be reading here.

"One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."
