For fun, I post this one that I got in the email from a friend. I have no data on who wrote it.

What happens when a president gets elected in a year with a "0" (zero) at the end? Also notice it goes in increments of 20 years.
And LOOK! Year 2000 is where it lands!

1840: William Henry Harrison (Died in Office)
1860: Abraham Lincoln (Assassinated)
1880: James A. Garfield (Assassinated)
1900: William McKinley (Assassinated)
1920: Warren G. Harding (Died in Office)
1940: Franklin D. Roosevelt (Died in Office)
1960: John F. Kennedy (Assassinated)
1980: Ronald Reagan (Survived Assassination Attempt)

2000: George Bush (???????)

And to think that we had 2 guys duking it out in the courts to be the one elected in 2000.

Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'.
Kennedy was shot in a car called a 'Lincoln' made by Ford.

Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a
warehouse.
Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a
theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their
trials!

And here's the kicker:

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe,
Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy, huh?

I thought Kennedy was killed after Marilyn Monroe's death. Marilyn Monroe died on August of 1962. And Kennedy was killed November of 1963???

But the rest of the info...sure is creepy! Weird!

Some problems to contend with …

Some have contended that Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy, and Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln, but this is NOT true. . . The guy named Kennedy that worried about Lincoln's safety was the Superintendent of Police in New York.

Some have also said that John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839 and Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. However, Booth was actually born in 1838.

Forget the Marilyn Monroe - Monroe, Maryland connection; Marilyn Monroe died over a year before President Kennedy was assassinated.

Haven't you ever heard of such a thing as pure coincidence?

There is also a cult in your Grand Republic that worships John Kennedy as a deity. I understand they do qualify for tax-exempt status.

There was never a cult following for Lincoln, but there is a stained glass window depicting him in the Polish National Catholic Cathedral in Pennsylvania, the only one of its kind, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, typology is truly interesting!

In the good old days when one wanted to assassinate a king, one tried to do it prior to the Rite of Coronation that had sacramental significance.

To kill an anointed King was considered a much graver sin that implied automatic excommunication.

Sin as we might, no one wanted to be excommunicated . . .

I think your Republic should at least consider having a Constitutional Monarch.

It's a much more scriptural form of government, for one thing . . .

Really? Didn't the Israelites do better under a tribal confederacy when they listened and followed God's law? The monarchy came when they wanted to be like the others (read: pagans).
