For all those who follow the Byzantine reckoning of the ecclessiastical calendar and are of the new calendar, Happy New Year! The Ecumenical Patriarch as well as church leaders in this country have also made this feast a focus on the environment and how it has been given to us as a stewardship. In light of recent events, we must realize that our relationship with the environment is a fragile one, one that we can not control, but should respect. I pray that all have a blessed new year, one filled with blessings and joy in our Lord Jesus Christ.

In IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

So busy, I forgot to wish my adopted brothers and sisters of the Eastern Church a Happy New Year, and may the Lord guide and protect us all, East and West.
