Does anyone know what has become of Father Richard Doherty? He was ordained about 20 years ago, and was serving in the Eparchy of Passaic - in North Carolina, I think. Any information will be appreciated.

Dear Incognitus,

Googling, I found this website:

http://st-bernadettechurch.org/aboutus.htm

It shows that Father Richard Doherty was a priest at St. Bernadette's in NC from 1998

Quote
Father Charlie retired in 1998 at the age of 75 and Father Richard Doherty was our new Parish Priest.
Then further down the page it mentions:

Quote
ASSIGNMENT OF OUR FIRST PASTOR
In July, 2003, Sr. Claudia accepted another assignment to Infant of Prague Parish in Jacksonville, NC and Father Richards time with our parish had come to an end when Father Doug Smiley was assigned as the first Priest to be our Pastor. Even though he was with us a short time- Father Doug was a great inspiration to the Parish.
If this is the right Fr. Richard, then you may be more successful contacting the parish.

Wish I could provide more. Good luck.

Michael
