I guess what bothers me about the statements I've read conecting Katrina to the Southern Decadence event is the tendency to point to the "other". I have yet to see one of these self annointed judges of mankind come out and say "hey maybe God did this to call attention to my own sins. Maybe I'm the one who needs to examin myself." It's always the other person- the "homosexuals" the "abortionists" etc. Never themselves.
ps: Galveston and Corpus Christi TX aren't known for hosting any large wild festivals. Why are they in the path of Rita?

Or that there are so many oil refineries there.
As I said, I am hesitant to declare the Divine Purpose to natural catastrophes, but if this is some sort of chastisement, and the sins being punished are not about S-E-X, but rather national hubris, war and American Pride, then it makes you wonder.
I'm certainly filling my gas tank today,,,

Dear Incognitus,

I hope they're "Pre-Katrina Pralinas!"

Otherwise I think your product would have more ingredients than either of us would care to know about . . . wink

Perhaps we should go into business together after the waters subside?

I make a positively SINFUL ettoufe!

After you've tasted it, you feel like you've really done something bad!

As these conversations tend to get sidetracked by Incognitus' culinary asides, I have come to picture him as quite roly-poly, and bearded.
Accurate?

Dear Daniel,
Well, friends have often told me that my vocabulary seems to include two quite distinct words: food and FOOD!
As to New Orleans, we aren't required to go there to make the pralines - and the ingredients are quite simple.
As to girth, why do you suppose that they celebrate Mardi Gras?
