Does anybody have a usable .jpg (or a link to one) of the Theotokos Nourisher of Life icon that at one time was on the OCA website?

I have the image, but the file I have is either corrupt, or goofy. This is a modern icon, showing Jesus nursing (or preparing to nurse).

Thanks for any help,

Sharon

Could you pretty please send it to the admin? I want to use it as my avatar, but I can't find it ANYWHERE anymore.

Thanks,

Sharon

Dear Sharon and the Admin,

I have sent an email to forum@www.byzcath.org with the .jpg as an attachment. If that doesn't work, or I should send it to another address, please let me know.

Angel of Glasgow, my Guardian Dear,

I wuz thinking about you today. Someone posted an article about a Glasgow hospital closing, or splitting off, or some such (Queen Mother??) and the fact that the change (whatever it will be) may put their milk bank at risk. Fer some reason or other, I thought of you.

I also have lost (or put in too safe a place) your mailing address. Would you be kind enough to forward it to me again? There's something at my house that belongs at your house.

BTW, I have a printout of the Nourisher of Life icon framed on my desk - she's BEAUTIFUL - and a holy card of Our Lady of La Leche on the edge of my monitor. Do you know about Our Lady of La Leche?

Gotta run - thanks so much to Mor Ephrem & the Admin for their help. I finally have an avatar!

Sharon

Dear Sharon,

Both my kids are Queen Mum's babies. And I can't speak too highly of the care I got. I was lucky to be delivered of Felicity by no less person than Professor Donald of Uterine ultrasound fame - a wonderful man with hands like shovels !

It really must be unique as the staff go between the 2 linked buildings all the time. It's a wonderful place and mums do come from all over the UK to it, so there babies will be cared for in the Sick Kids. There is grave doubt whether the ECMO unit [ the only one in Scotland ] will be able to function if the units are spilt.

Oh beaurocracy is just destroying Glasgow's Hospitals. frown

However I will PM you over the next few days - I've lost your e-mail addy too frown

Sharon, someplace I have a print of an old woodcut of Our Lady nursing...when I find it I'll scan it and send to you by email. I once copied this print onto parchment paper and framed it. It was really cool. Don

Again I say, OOH! OOH!

If'n you do get it found & scanned, please, pretty please don't send it to my usual addy, which is a cast iron, steam powered, coal fired text-only addy. I keep an "occasional use" addy which CAN receive attachments - it's pomiluj at mail2world dot com

(substitute appropriate symbols as needed.)

Thank you!!!

Sharon
