Dear Amado,

Isn't that just like a Latin to be so precise and specific? smile

We Byzantines aren't like that and so we just say the number is "almost two dozen." wink

And my answer is:

I learned the number 21 from this Forum. Now I learned it's 22. That's why I keep reading here. I keep learning. (Will it be 23 next week?)

Dear amonasticbeginner:

It could be Alex's fault, my friend!

Any way, I stick to 22 and, hopefully, double that in the years to come?

Regarding the Way Of A Pilgrim...
I love this book. I've read it several times and have gone on from there to read the Philokalia, etc. It opened my eyes as well.

Would some type of virtual website specific to this book be effective? The convert-to-be would make the choice to come himself. He could take his time and learn online, making the decision to find a parish on his own. Just a thought.

As far as sending the book around-we could start by sending it to 'our own people'. A large majority have never heard of this book, much less read it.

I know soo many people that have opened up not only to the Jesus Prayer but to Eastern Christian spirituality in general from reading this book.
