Beautiful just beautiful

His speach was wonderful. I never thought of the Nazi's as trying to kill God by eliminating the Jews. Or at least I have never heard it put quiet that way.

Wasn't the rainbow God's covenant with the people that there would never again be a great flood?

If so, this rainbow is quite symbolic and quite a miraculous answer to the Pope's prayers at Auschwitz.

Reading the article brought tears to my eyes...

May such evil never be manifest in our world again.

Alice,

That is SO profound!

I had heard about the rainbow at the event, but did not make the connection to the Noachide covenant.

Interestingly enough, within Judaism, righteous Gentiles are those who observe the Noachide covenant laws, since it is the last of the Universal covenants (at least, in our view) until the coming of Jesus.

How fitting indeed!

BTW, St. Luke's Films (the same group that did the wonderful Therese movie) is plannning a new movie...MAXIMILIAN...on the life and sacrifice of St. Maximilian Kolbe.

Here is the site on it... http://www.lukefilms.com/maxteaser/index.html

God bless!

Dear Friends,

When Pope John Paul II came to Ukraine and spoke to the people, it was a cloudy day, but soon a ray of light appeared in the skies, to the amazement of all.

I saw a video of the event and heard the TV announcers exclaim, "Well, now for sure people will start saying a miracle occurred during the Pope's visit!" wink

One TV journalist asked another on the ground what was it the Pope was giving to all those who came to see him.

He was told, "Rosaries!"

"And what are those, do you know?" he shot back.

"They're beads on a cord on which prayers to the Theotokos are said."

"Ah, I see . . ."

smile

Alex
