I saw the show too.
I like the 'seven up' part of it, which remind me that sometime I experience those kind of things too...

Once, I and two of my friends, were trapped by rain in the middle of night inside a restourant. Homework deadline was approaching fast and the fact that we couldn't do anything about it made us anxious. I prayed... "God, please stop the rain".. with no luck...

Then after a while I said to my friends, "Ok, just another 15 minutes... if the rain not stop then we need to run in the middle of rain."

We only wait for about another 10 minutes and left the restourant. The rain was getting small at the moment, so instead of waiting for another 5 minutes we decided to go. In the middle of way.. at another 5 minutes.. the rain was completely stopped.

For those in the area (or willing to travel) Father Taras will be the Friday night keynote speaker at the Notre Dame College Eleanor Malburg Eastern Churches Seminar on Oct. 7, in Cleveland. The theme of the seminar is "Mysticism: The Experience of God in Today's World." Father Taras will speak on "the Transfigured Life," hopefully giving much of the testimony as heard/seen on EWTN.

The Friday night part of the seminar will be held at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 3256 Warren Road, Cleveland, starting with an Akathist to the Theotokos, the Burning Bush, at 7 p.m.

Saturdays events (Oct. 8) will take place on the campus of Notre Dame College, 4545 College Road, South Euclid, Ohio. Speakers will be Kevin Berger, Th.D., disciple of Archimandrite Roman Braga, Dormition Orthodox Monastery, Rives Junction, Mich., on "The Mystical Knowledge of God from an Eastern Perspective"; Rev. Mother Gabriella Ursache, abbess of Dormition Orthodox Monastery, Rives Junction, Mich., on "Mystical Mothers: Womens Experience of God"; and Father Michael Woost, Ph.D., assistant professor of liturgy, St. Mary Seminary, Wickliffe, on "Mysticism in Everyday Life."

Registration is $30 before Sept. 29 ($35 after that date) and includes Saturday lunch. For more information or a registration form, contact the college's Center for Pastoral Theology and Ministry (216)373-5389 or mbaran@ndc.edu.

Dear Friends,

I know and have spoken with Fr. Taras - a marvellous man!

It is too bad his monastery has been decimated by monks returning to Ukraine and others leaving for ROCOR.
