Hi all,
I know the OCA website accepts donations to help the victims of the Breslan massacre, but I haven't seen anything about Breslan at the website for Catholic Relief Services.
Is there a Catholic fund for providing relief to the victims of the Breslan massacre?
Thank you for any replies.

Dear John:
I think institutional participation by Catholic Relief Services, CNEWA, and other Catholic charitable organizations may not be on call in the Beslan massacre because the emergency relief needed in this instance could very well be taken care of by the lcoal authorities.
Unless, the Beslan massacre is leading into widespread hunger among the local populace or into an epedemic in which case CRS-Russia will certainly contribute to the effort of alleviating the area's predicament.
Catholic Relief Services is into the Sudan where millions of displaced Sudanese are going hungry and in other poverty-stricken African regions.
It is also busy providing assistance (together with the Red Cross and other relief agencies) to hurricane-ravaged areas in Florida and elsewhere.
