Personally, I do not know if I shall see it...for one thing, it will probably be on limited release and another, I feel that such a story is best left to the Gospel and ones mind. Perhaps I am being a bit different but I really do not feel like seeing it...but I guess I am in a minority...

Dear Mother Sharon,

Yes, I met Mel Gibson once - but, for the life of me, I don't know what women see in him.

He was slightly bearded and was mumbling rosary prayers when I saw him.

He just doesn't do a thing for me!

Dear Sharon,

Vive la difference!! smile

I now think I know what my wife means when she says that if she met Gibson, she would immediately go for a "behind the scenes" look . . .

My daughter said she would go to see the movie with me and that she'll bring a box of kleenex.

We are all going as a family on Ash Wednesday to see it (after we go to the my soon-to-be ex-Methodist church to get the Sign of the Cross with ashes and some time for prayer). I have to look for tickets on the internet, so we can be assured of good seats!

Dear Logos Teen:

Funny that you mentioned receiving the ashes at your Methodist Church on Ash Wednesday.

My wife's friend, the Pediatrician to our kids when they were younger, has the crossed ashes on his forehead every Ash Wednesday ever since I met him many years ago.

The funny thing is: he is a Methodist like you (for the moment in your case, that is! wink )

I was, and still am, really coy in commenting on his Catholic practice. It just goes to show the "Catholic roots" of Methodism!

I think I need some spiritual and uplifting after the Super Bowl halftime show.

Lawrence said he needs spiritual uplifting after the superbowl... I am so thankful we didn't watch that this year.

Now we know why there is such a battle over this film, The Passion.

satan desired that Janet bare her flesh to the world and not the Christ. mad The latter scares him to death. biggrin

Christ gave His flesh up for the life of the world. Janet's flesh was given up to grow her pocket book and get attention like her brother. Humm or was it to take attention away from her brother. Either way for her, she has lost. For Christ it is, was, and shall always be victory!

Well we could rent a football stadium and show the Passion for free. DO YOU THINK WE WOULD FILL IT UP LIKE THE SUPERBOWL? confused

I typed in resources for the movie the passion on google, this is what I got. Someone said this is a Catholic movie, unless I misunderstood. I think the world sees it as a movie about Christ.

Ya know, I've been saying that if you wanted a REAL scandal, when Miss Jackson's top came off, there should have been **HORRORS** a nursing baby or a breastpump attached to the spigot, rather than a fancy pastie.

Everybody knows it's ok to use (O)(O) to sell liquor, cars, or other consumer products. Just DON'T let 'em be seen doin' what the good Lord built them for.......

I was leading the devotions to St. Bingo when all the hoo-ha was going on, but you can't watch TV or go online without seeing endless replays. I understand there was a football game involved somehow too...

I am not concerned with teachings from the West or East when it comes to accepting, admiting, realizing.......the pain of Christ. A pain that we put him through, not the Jews, we crucified Jesus for our sins. I am very visual and perhaps having the movie shown in a Hollywood or spectacular way may leave enough memories in my mind so that when I think of sinning I can think of his suffering first. That is my opinion as a Christian, who cares if I am from the West or East I feel this will help me. cool
