How do you guys cut and paste pictures to put them into your posts? The pictures, by the way, are awesome!

I've noticed that on the poyas of the priests, there are 2 long ribbons or tassels.
What are they for?

To put a picture in a post, it must first be online somewhere. Wherever it is, right click on it and choose Properties. It will take you to a dialog box, which will have a URL in it. Copy the URL. (The address that starts with http://) Then on the compose screen here, click the button that says Image. When the dialog box appears, paste the url in. It will be inserted. Click Preview Post to check on your work before submitting.

The vestments at the Russian Centre In Melbourne (Australia) have a number of phelons with buttons across the front to allow shortening.

Dave - Christ is Risen.
I always thought that Greek bishops wore the epigonation suspended from tapes over the left shoulder.
Having worked in Greek schools for a decade, I never saw an epigonation buttoned to Archbishop Gregorios' sakkos. It was suspended at the right hip .

Come to think of it I have never seen the use of tapes with the UGCC Bishops either. I am sure that the epigonation was buttoned onto the Sakkos.

Hello "Wondering"
If I may address you here for I don't know how to reach you.
There are Neanderthals ( who just learned to draw on the cave walls) out there who have just left the cave and I am one of them when it comes to computers.
In your post you say
"Wherever it is, right click on it and choose Properties. It will take you to a dialog box, which will have a URL in it. Copy the URL. (The address that starts with http://) Then on the compose screen here, click the button that says Image. When the dialog box appears, paste the url in. It will be inserted. I got on line. I right clicked and got the URL. I copied the UrL. But where is this compose screen? I can't seem to find anything that says that. Then I have no idea where it says " image"
I am sorry to be so dull. But if you can help, I would truly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find an explanation for them. Хрїстосъ воскрεсε изъ мєртвыхъ, смεртїю на смεрть наступи, и грωбнымъ животъ дарова!

The istochniky on the Bishop's manitya (sewn as stripes, not tassles) represent the fountains or streams of teachings that flow from the Apostolic tradition. Perhaps Fr. Mark can clarify that one. FDD

Yes I had noticed these hanging from the Poyas as well. I assumed it was granted as some for of recognition to the priest from their bishop of good service.

I hope this shows some of the items mentioned as worn by some of the priests in some of these photos. It does appear on closer inspection the bishops do wear the Epigonation differently as well. http://starovery.ru/pravda/galery.php?rid=9 ICXC NIKA

Yes, I was/am inquiring about the long "tassels" or strips of cloth hanging down from the priests' poyas.
I've notice on some of the photos, on some poyases it's not just 2, but even 4!
What's that all about?
