I had a very odd dream a couple of nights ago. I'm guessing that perhaps all the hub-bub concerning my new avatar and the Pope's vestments therein might've had something to do with it, and all the media coverage of the Holy Father's camauro, ermine-trimmed mozzetta, Prada shoes, designer sunglasses, etc.
Anyway, in the dream I was talking one-on-one with His Holiness, in two chairs in the Apostolic Palace in the middle of a sparsely furnished large room. I wasn't facing directly opposite him, but at an angle.
The Holy Father said to me something to the effect of, "You know, I'm going to implement some new vestments for my use pretty soon. They're really wonderful." It was understood that he designed them himself. I remember wondering if these vestments would be of a traditional nature, or just plain novel. But I remember thinkin that this would a good thing.
Not wanting to be rude, I said to him something like, "Well, Holy Father, you better act fast because you don't have much time," hinting at his age.
Then he said, "Yes, my doctors tell me I have between three and thiry years [to live]." I was very confused by how he ever came up with those numbers, and wanted to tell him that there was no way he'd live another thirty years and that he could very well die before three years was out, but didn't because I felt it would be disrespectful.
How weird is that? Why would I dream about such a thing???
