I believe the venerable bishop and martyr Seraphim was born in Besil, in the eparchy of Agraphos; and became a monk in Constantinople. He was elected Bishop of Phanar and Neochor, and was impaled by the Turks for refusing to deny the Lord. His victory was in 1601 and his feast is kept on the 4th of December.

But this thread (and this poor monk) has wandered far off topic. Perhaps it should be closed, and those wishing to discuss 'evolution' and 'evolutionism' should begin a thread so titled?
