Eastern Catholic Church priests can be married in some parts of Europe. Has anyone heard any news if priests (of either Eastern or Western Rites) on the American continent will be given the same right? In the not so distant past in America there were married Eastern Rite Catholic priests.

There are certainly married Eastern Catholic priests in the USA right this minute, and if God so wills there will be more of them in the foreseeable future. So far as I am aware, no one has published a list of them, nor is anyone about to publish such a list.

Copernicus, the Romanians, Melkites, and Ukrainians have all ordained married men in the USA, the Ukrainians in two separate eparchies.

Only the Ruthenian BCC has yet to do so in the USA. There are, however, married priests from Eastern Europe working with the Ruthenian BCC, but they were not ordained in the USA.
