... for letting myself get into an argumentative mood this morning in another thread. I don't know why, but I just found myself getting more and more irritated and frustrated, and got the impression (rightly or wrongly) that everything I said was being misinterpreted, and nothing I could say was right. I guess we have all had days like that, so I will just say (at the risk of offending those anti-Latinists out there!  ) "mea culpa", and move on.

You know we have such a great bunch of men on this forum. They are so very knowledgable about so many things. I love to read what they have to say. However, I feel like when I get into one of their discussions I open my mouth and engage my foot. So don't feel bad. They are a very forgiving bunch. Also, I don't think they are use to too many of the femine persuasion getting into the act, or maybe we aren't competitive enough. So I count my contributions to whatever is being discussed as irrevelant, null and void. Keep hanging in there! And don't worry if your feathers get ruffled, so do theirs they just don't show it.

Rose, don't ever think that you don't have a contribution to make on a forum or feel somehow they are inadequate. That's just cuckoo. It is the diversity of viewpoints and experience discussed in charity that make this forum unique.
And when it comes to foot in mouth, I can say from experience we men have not only bigger feet but often bigger mouths to insert those feet into ! And believe me, when my feathers get ruffled it shows. :rolleyes:

Thank God that you have the gift not to be the last. The gift of sleep is precious! I would just like to remember what it is like.
