Maybe it is well-known to most of you, but the icon web site at www.agapeicons.com [agapeicons.com] just came to my attention and I found the icons fascinating and beautiful. (I don't think I've seen anything like the silver icons before.)
Because these sterling silver icons are a Greek tradition, I am quite familiar with them, and can tell you that they are a beautiful treasure for one's home and devotions.

They make beautiful and special engagement, wedding, and christening gifts, and are often given as such in Greece.

Besides becoming heirlooms that one can hand down to family members, they are beautiful enough to adorn a wall or a living room table by placing them on a decorative plate stand. (These are two decorator tips from Athens).

They generally require very little care besides a wipe with a silver cloth every once in a while. Some are even tarnish proof these days.

Agapeicons has one of the best collections this side of the Atlantic! smile

In Christ,
Alice

Oh another site you will like, is Marains, Sacred Romania. It is really neat! To see how people painted on whatever they had, in this case glass. It is reverse painting, so beautiful. The one that stopped me in my tracks is the one on the Trinity. I really had to think about it, in that it shows - for lack of a better way of describing it - God with Three Faces. To me I think it speaks loudly of the God Head, Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Very intersting...

Thank you Dr. Kevin and Alice, along with everyone who has checked out my store in the past. I truly hope above everything that it evangelizes. If one soul is changed or saved from veiwing it, then in our on way we have added to the Kingdom of God. Thanks be to God, it took me a year to do it. I never even imagined that I was able to do something like that.

Hello All,

If anyone has further interest in Memorize the Faith!, I'm to be interviewed on Al Kresta's show on Ave Maria Radio on Thursday, 09/07/06 at 4:15 PM Eastern Time. If your local Catholic radio station does not carry it, you can listen on line through Ave Maria Radio's web site.

God bless,

Kevin
