Dr. John, are you out there?

Did you fall off the edge of the earth?

You are missed!

Please come home, or at least send up a flare.

Hoping all is well with you,

Sharon

Dr. John,

I agree. You are missed sorely. Your special angle on things helps keep things in perspective among us even when many disagree with it.

I hope that you'll take your place among us again.

I hope that all is good with you and yours and my prayers are with you.

Thanks for posting this - I just happened to see this - I too have often wondered what happened to our Dr. John and wondered how he is doing.
Perhaps he just wished to have a byz-site vacation?

Dear Friends,

Perhaps he got annoyed with the narrow conservative moral bias of this forum?

And I think the Administrator is largely to blame for that . . . smile

See y'a, gotta go!

Dear Brian,

Why don't you take his place for the time being, then? wink

I'm sure Dr. John is just very busy and will come back soon.

We can start a petition though . . .

Blessings, Y'all!

I had a telephone conversation with Dr. John last Friday. His is doing well but exhausted by all the business travel he has been doing (he was actually at home Virginia when we talked). He did not, however, like my moneysaving suggestion that he give up his apartment and just get a hotel whenever he comes home to visit. biggrin

On top of all this he has had issues with his personal ISP, his work laptop and his home computer. He just purchased a new home computer and is waiting for new software from his ISP to get up and running again.

Regarding Alexs comment, on the surface it is childish and offensive. The only way I can interpret it in a positive light is if he was suggesting that I am biased towards Gods unchanging moral teachings, which have been made clear by His Church. To that charge I plead guilty.

Dear Administrator,

Great to see you have a sense of humour! wink

I was suggesting nothing other than you are a beacon of Christian morality.

But since I get the feeling I'm annoying you more and more, I will take your last post and comment to me as my ticket out of this forum permanently.

And so I go from hither - look to see me no more!

Parting is such sweet sorrow!

God bless you and all here - this child is outta here.

Waaaa!

Dear Alex,

Good Lord! You must have missed the message.

Didn't you hear that your ticket out of here was cancelled long ago? biggrin

I hope that we'll hear your special take on things here for many years to come.

So, don't fight it, you're part of us and, for better or worse, I hope that we're part of you, too.

Give and take forever, but always in the Spirit of Love! smile

Admin,

Thank you for the update. If you should speak with him again, please convey my best wishes, and the expressed desire of all on this thread for his return - whenever he is able.

(And of course, if he ever makes it to or near Cow-lumbus......)

Dear Friends,

I apologise for my giddiness yesterday that resulted in my having given offense to the Administrator and to Brian.

And I apologise for my childish reflex-response, well-known to many of you by now, in response to what I perceived to have been an offensive response by the Administrator to my earlier offensive response.

I make no apologies for being childish, however.

I really do believe that it is a central part of my overall charm . . .

I was giddy yesterday because in the midst of my depression over my job situation, I received three offers from employers who are now, believe it or not, fighting over me.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying all this attention to little, old me by these would-be employers.

So I won't.

Amen on that!

Just make sure that posting here is part of the job description!
