This Friday I go together with my mother to Greece, for 7 days. We will focus especially on Meteora monasteries and Thessaloniki, the Holy Remains of Saint Demetrios, and historical matters. Also a travel on sea to the Island of Skiathos.
Please, pray for a safe travel. When we will return, with God's mercy, I will share photos building a small website.
Thank you, my brethren in Christ.

In the Risen Lord Jesus Christ, brotherly, Marian

Go with God, Marian!

(Since you are going to Greece, in Greek, the wish is "STO KALO NA PAS"...)

May your first journey outside your country be safe, restful, blessed, and exciting!

With much love in Christ,
Alice

Dear Marian,

I pray that the Lord may grant you and your family a truly memorable and spiritual pilgrimage to Greece. The sites you have chosen are wonderful.

May it be a journey that enhances your spirituality and closeness with our Lord, His Mother, and all the saints, but especially Saint Demetrios.

I pray that you will also return to us safely, renewed in spirit.

Wishing you God's blessings,

IN IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Do please light some candles for us - and bring back some Holy Water from Saint Demetrios. While in Thessaloniki, one should also venerate the Holy Relics of Saint Gregory Palamas. God grant you a good journey and a safe return!

Dear Marian,

Wellcome to our city, the city of the Myrovlitis Saint Demetrius. Probably my massage comes too late but I wish you and your mother a nice and holy pilgrimage. Unfortunately tomorrow I will be at the city of another myrovlitis saint (Saint Nicholas), Bari. Do not forget to visit the Church and crypt of saint Demetrius, the Cathedral Church of the Holy Wisdom, the metropolitan church of saint Gregory Palamas, the monastery of Saint Theodora (relics of Saint Theodora of Thessaloniki and St. David the Dendrite), the patriarchal monastery of Vlatades, the protochristian church of Acheiropoiitos), and some of the many churches of the Paleologian period (Holy Apostles, Saint Catherine, Saint Pantaleimon, Prophet Elias). You will find many Romanian priests and students at the Theological School or at the Students restaurant (Aristotle University Campus). God bless you and all those travelling theese days.

Dear Mary Jo,

If I translate Marian's post, will you translate yours for us? smile

He said:

"I thank you all very much.

We shall go with good (meaning God), but our home is the Kingdom of God.

With love in Christ,
Marian"

Alice,

I wrote in German because Marian and I have often used German in our correspondence. Both of us know German a little where I don't know Romanian at all and sometimes I have trouble making my English understandable to him.

It just says that I pray he and his mother will have a pleasant trip and I wish him God's blessings and good health.

God bless, smile

Gesundheit means Good Health in German and is used even when you don't sneeze. wink
