That audio tape is obviously fake, no one in the Middle East uses phrases like "lame duck".

Hmmmm. Good Point. Why would the BBC report on it? Do they have an agenda?

Our lingo is often picked up by others so that they can use it against us. It is not "obvious" that it is faked. It may be. But it is not "obvious".

I would not be surprised if it was not a tape made by someone like Rush Limnbaugh who was using the propaganda of the last few weeks that a vote for the Democrats was a vote for terrorists and other such silly nonsense. Well, they got their answer from Americans on Tues.

Yes...and the terrorists have been lauding the elections ever since.

Whatever your opinion about the legitimacy of the war in Iraq, President Bush and his administration have done more to defeat terrorism than any other sitting US president. Liberals have sought time and again to be an obstacle to those efforts. Liberal democrats (with a few exceptions) prefer to take a defensive posture, while Bush prefers to be on the offensive against them.

Five years - no terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11. I'd say, given the circumstances (the mobilization of Islamic jihad on a potentially destructive scale unknown in human history), that's a pretty darn good record.

So yes - the weaklings are in power, and the terrorists rejoice. (It's like substitute teacher day at an inner city public school.) The lack of American will in this matter follows exactly the pattern Bin Laden said it would. And the Democrats will now treat us to two years of investigations and persecution/prosecution of this administration. Meanwhile, our enemies will lick their chops until the right moment to strike, and then observe our country sink into dhimmitude like the rest of Europe.

So no. It is not a Rush Limbaugh conspiracy. The terrorists are really happy and we are in for a rough, terrible ride I'm afraid.

I couldn't have said it better and probably not as well. I think we must be resigned now to the fact that the lunatics are going to run the assylum for a bit and maybe change the way we live for the worse for a long long time.

Let them howl like jackels. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think cowardice is a good national policy.

I still fail to grasp why countries with such a definite sense of morality and moral proscription would applaud the rise to power of the immoral factions in our country...

Because they wish to see us defeated.

Bin Laden has made it clear that his vision is to see America and other Western nations collapse in on itself morally so that Islam can then come in to convert and control. It is the great irony that much of the financing for Al Quaeda came through drug trafficking to Western nations. And if he has acquired the suitcase nukes he desired, our own moral collapse as a culture may very well contribute in some way to our physical demise as a nation.

Some may see this as a fitting irony, but I see as it as the unfolding of a horror show.
