The Eparchy of Passaic is sponsering a CATECHETICAL DAY :

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THIS SEMINAR SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH AT ST NICHOLAS CHURCH IN ORLANDO, please contact your parish. GUEST SPEAKER is DR. BARBARA LUTZ.

You can also contact Father Sal at Phone: (407) 351-0133.

Registration check in is from 9-10 AM.

The Catechetical Day starts at 10 AM and lasts until approximately 4:30 PM. Last year, a Divine Liturgy was provided afterwards, but I do not know if that is the case this year.

This year, the discussion will center on Book 1 of the Light for Life series, The Mystery Believed.

Directions to St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church:

St. Nicholas Catholic Church is located on Sand Lake Road East. We are two miles from any hotel on Orange Blossom Trail, John Young Parkway, Turkey Lake Road and International Drive and Sand Lake Road. For guests of the Disney and Lake Buena Vista hotels you will take I-4 east, then take Exit 29 to Sand Lake Road. Turn right on Sand Lake Road and we are 1/2 mile down on the left hand side - or take John Young Parkway to Sand Lake Road, turn left and we are 1/2 mile down on the right hand side. For those coming from Turkey Lake Road, come down Turkey Lake Road to Sand Lake Road, make a right hand turn and we are 3/4ths of a mile down Sand Lake Road on the Left hand side. For guests of most hotels on International Drive, the church is within two miles on Sand Lake Road East. From the intersection of Sand Lake Road and International Drive, we are 1/2 mile east on Sand Lake Road. From hotels on Orange Blossom Trail and the Airport Hotels, take Sand Lake Road West. For Kissimmee guests, take International Drive off 535 to Sand Lake Road, turn right on Sand Lake Road, go 2 miles east and we are on the right hand side, or take John Young Parkway to Sand Lake Road, turn left and we are 1/2 mile down on the right hand side.

I attended this Catechetical Day last year, and was very impressed. The day was very well organized, the parishioners were extremely kind, and the material we covered was spiritually uplifting. It also allowed me to experience my very first Moleban.

In Christ, (and hope to see some of you there)

Michael
