Just last night I came across this very interesting Patristic commentary on the Pascha Readings in the Coptic Church:

Looks like a valuable resource.

Thanks both of you. We don't get much in the way of Coptic sites, nice to see two such interesting ones in rapid succession.

Many years,

One site that I love and have been visiting for a while is The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States [suscopts.org] it has a wealth of information on the Coptic Faith and links to the churches in the USA tha are on the web.

I'm not into watching most of the "reality" shows on tv, but I enjoy "The Amazing Race"
Last Tuesday's episode the contestants had to visit the Ethiopian Church of St. George, and were given an ornate cross, and had to match it with one worn by a monk on the outside of the Church.

One girl even borrowed a short sleeved shirt to cover herself up, and one of the male contestants kissed the priest's shoulder!!! I was impressed.

Dear Mike,

Is the kissing of the shoulder an Ethiopian tradition?

I don't know, but some places that is the form of the "Kiss of Peace".
