I have known the Metropolitan since I was in grade school over 20 years. He was the rector of St John the Baptist cathedral School in Munhall, PA.

I was extremely saddened by his death. Not only was he a wonderful person, but he had done more for our Church in these short 6 years. He was truly the best of us.

To all,

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Metropolitan Procyk, and just wish to offer my condolences.

Having gone through the loss of someone close, I share in the sorrow of those who knew the late Metropolitan, especially those who were his friends, and I humbly offer my prayers for both he and those affected by this great loss.

I pray that God would bring Metropolitan Procyk speedily into His kingdom and console those who grief for his loss.

In Christ,
Mike (poor sinner)

I'm working here in Illinois for a few days and learned of our Father, Metropolitan Judson's passing via e-mail. My eyes filled up and I actually had tears on my cheeks. My first thoughts were: "Lord, why have you let this happen to him and to us now?" Metropolitan Judson gave to us a real sense of community, a real sense of family, and of a father who was worldly-wise enough to do what he had to, to move his children ahead. So, now we are orphaned. Our earthly father and protector has departed and left us without the 'pilot' needed to bring our ship safely to shore. But, if we remember what he has taught us, we will continue to sail a straight course, for I believe he has taught us well. We must stay the course as a community; we must not only console but encourage one another, and we must pray that the Lord, Who in His Wisdom, called our father home, will give us the strength to continue forward in the journey until He sends us another pilot to guide our vessel of faith home to the celestial harbor.

May our father, Metropolitan and Archbishop Judson, friend and servant of all, rest in the arms of the Lord. Lord, we are in deep pain. In Your mercy,.....
