Ok, this is going in the Town Hall because it has nothing to do with Byzantine Catholicism.
But, I figure someone here will know how to help me.
I have AOL, but I also need to use Internet Explorer which I have on my desktop. Anyway, it used to work fine; when I clicked the icon of Internet Explorer on the desktop I could access the internet (as long as I was, of course, connected to AOL at the same time). But since then, my mom has totally rebooted the computer and I can't access the net from Internet Explorer. Soooo...does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.

Teen,
Probably the quickest and easiest fix would be to re-download IE. If that doesn't work, then your Mom probably inadvertantly reset some of the computer's default options, which would have involved more than a simple reboot. If downloading IE again doesn't solve the problem, message me and I'll try and talk you thru some other possibilities.

First, shut the computer off and turn it on again to see if that clears the problem.
Second, try something simple. In IE click on "Tools", "Internet Options", and then "Connections". Make sure that "Never dial a connection" is checked.
It could also be an AOL issue as AOL tries to force you to use its interface at all times.
