Anybody see it? Do you really think it will affect the elections in November?

I am going to see it this afternoon and I will post my review.

Bush bashers will absolutely love it. I don't think it will affect the election. Those who truely back President Bush will stand by the party. Tari

I like parties, especially when they have lots of refreshments, comfortable furniture, congenial company and music that isn't too loud for my taste, to say nothing of my eardrums. Alas, Bush has never invited me to such an event, so I'll have to vote for Kerry (he's never invited me to a party either, but I suppose there's always hope).
As to the film, I very much want to see it and will appreciate a review on this thread.

(Maybe not a good idea to get involved in this discussion and make myself even more unpopular on this board, but I just couldn't resist...)

Well RESIST! You are NOT an American, so therefore, there's no place for you to say anything about my Country.

Why support the pro-abort Kerry? You know, Kerry vvoted to support war with Iraq. So did Clinton in the past, so did Al Gore. So why single out Bush anyway? He's the one who took action while the others just "spoke about it."

Anyway, long live the Americans!

So, Christian, do you really think that Bush had advance warning about the attacks? Or do you just want to see him taken down so badly that you'll cheer on out-and-out lies about him?

(Yeah, it probably was a bad idea on your part.)

I plan on seeing it and I hope and pray it will have an effect on the election. Another term with Bush as prez and I may just move to Sweden myself, sounds like a civilized country to me!

And I think that anyone has a right to voice their opinions about the US, even if they don't live here. Sometimes we need a voice telling us the emperor has no clothes....but we probably would choose not to listen. Americans are known for always thinking their way is the best and wanting to force the rest of the world into thinking their way too...see Iraq for an example.

Moe, I would never say that I hope a film promoting blatant lies about the Swedish (prime minister?) swings the election against him. I would not have the right to do so - nor does Christian about our President.

It might not be my place to say anything about US domestic policy, but since the present American administration sees itself not only as the government of the United States, but also apparently has ambitions to dominate the world, I think non-US nationals certainly has a right to have an opinion about the President of the US.

And for your information, Deaf people have the right to vote and the right to drive cars in Sweden!

Addendum - Moe, it's all well and good to invoke the "the emperor has no clothes!" story - except that there is no proof here that Bush knew ahead of time. There is a claim, but there is no proof. There is no obvious fact staring us in the face that we are choosing to ignore, and it is an INSULT to the rest of us, who love America as much as you do, to intimate that we prefer keeping Bush in office to knowing the truth of the attacks.

Not having seen the film yet, I can't say if it makes blatant lies about the prez or not, but if what I've read about it and about him are true, then it isn't showing nearly enough of what this man and his cronies have done!

Moe - The central premise of Moore's film is that Bush knew about the attacks ahead of time. I presume you believe this already, given your wholehearted support of the film. I further presume that you know of solid evidence for that claim which you can share, since it is a horrendous accusation to make if one cannot provide such proof. May I ask what this proof is, and where I can verify it at?

In a nutshell, "Thou shalt not bear false witness."

Many Years to Michael Moore! (though I liked "Roger and Me" better-more a real expose of Big Business indifference)

I would not have been in the least surprised if the powers that be knew something was up before it happened. The question is just how much they knew. There are too many unanswered questions about the whole mess, including our actions in Iraq following.

Many Years to our Scandinavian brother.I hold an American passport and I assure you Christian, you have not insulted me in the slightest on this matter.
Did George W. Bush know in advance about the attacks of 9/11? I don't know the answer to that - but I rather doubt that he did, because his truly amazing reaction to those horrible events was the reaction of a man floundering in funk and panic. Then again, he's not very bright, so it's possible that he had been notified of what was coming but had not taken sufficient notice, let alone considered how to behave and respond appropriately.
Yes, I am looking forward to seeing Michael Moore's film.
Why vote for Kerry? Because George W. Bush was not elected by even a plurality of the American electorate. The American tradition does not approve of usurpations.
