Dear Members of the Forum,

First of all, I wanted to offer my sincere apologies in Christ to those whom I have offended here of late concerning certain issues that I now know to have been ones that should not have set off the chain reaction of emotions that they did.

I apologise to the Administrator for my rudeness toward him and for words that were, in the very least, disrespectful.

I just wanted to share with you that I've come to certain decisions about what I want to do with the rest of my life, have talked them over with those closest to me who approve and will proceed with them.

My own ethnic cultural mores dictate that I keep these decisions to myself until I realize them - it would be bad luck to do otherwise wink .

I thank God for the blessing of this Forum, for the wonderful people here, and for all that I've learned over the time that I've been here.

I still have things to think over, certain positions that I know others strongly disagree with - I'll give it some time and prayer. But I don't ever want to fight with anyone over them again.

I've reached a state of happiness and a sense of purpose. I thank God for His constant guidance and for all His Blessings. I pray God's Protection and that of the Most Holy Mother of God on all of you, especially those who bring their particular petitions to the prayer section of this Forum. I will always keep you all in my prayers.

I've also come to the realization of my own immaturities, something that the interaction on this Forum has also helped me to realize.

Having discussed the matter with my spiritual director and my wife, I'm signing off the forum for good this time - and with no turning back.

I don't leave in anger and I hope I don't leave anyone angry with me.

It is just time for me to go on to other things that I now know I must do.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

With love in the Lord,

Your servant,

Alex

Dear Alex: I for one will miss your posts very much. I thank you for all that you have contributed because of the depth of your wisdom and experience and most especially because of your docility to the Holy Spirit in your life. May He continue to bless you always and keep you close to the Heart of our God. May Mary, Queen conceived without sin keep you always under the mantle of her protection and love. +

Alex,
I, too, will miss your posts. They provided a good balance for those on the opposite side of your position.

I see he has disabled PM's. Perhaps we flooded his mailbox?

Alex-
Maybe you could bless us with your always interesting knowledge and as a penance abstain from your opinions?
Is this going to be like your sabbatical?

Daniel,

You don't have to be snotty about it. Alex is obviously hurting right now. My husband left other boards like this one for the same reasons as Alex - people fighting all the time. And he stayed off for a VERY long time.

My husband is currently on this board in lurk mode, but he says he will come out fighting if he feels people are being snotty to me!

Tammy- I did not intend to be snotty, only funny. I'm sorry I was misunderstood. Do I have to use those smiley faces to make myself clear? I always thought that a good writer shouldn't need them. Thanks for the dose of humility. biggrin

Dear Alex,

I just wanted to say that you have provided an example of what loyalty to God's Churches is for me. You struggle to walk the pilgrimage in union with the Pope in a way that is also loyal to the teachings of Orthodoxy.

That was the agreement, as I understand it, when the articles of union were signed and it is still the charge given to the Churches of the East which are in communion with our Servant in Rome. At least that is what he seems to be saying.

(Hopefully, he'll act, too, and recognize the Patriarch of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church!)

I hope that you will follow your calling and that it will include coming here and sharing our pilgrimage, too.

You make it quite interesting! biggrin The "frank" discussions are a challenge, I know.

But from them have come some of your most memorable exits and re entrances! You've exited stage left, now enter stage right! cool

Steve

Alex:

My brother in Christ--may you go with God wherever it is He is leading you.

On one final note--someone once told me that Christians never say "goodbye," they say "until we meet again."

I cannot send a reply to the last PM you sent, but I hope that the one I sent previously has helped.

In Christ,

BOB

Dear Alex,

It is too bad that you have decided to leave for good...everytime you have returned in the past, things have perked up for the better on this forum. You have a special way of making those around you smile, and feel good.

I do hope that you will realize your goals...(and my cultural mores understand your cultural mores about not sharing those goals until they actually happen!)

God bless you and your wife,
Your sister in Christ our Lord,
Alice

Hey, LT -

Why'd you quote me without a comment? I know what I said sounded like a threat, but it wasn't intended as one. When my husband, who was brand new to the board, saw how Alex was being treated, he was afraid I might get treated that way too for defending Alex. He is very protective of me and asked me to make that post.

Tammy
