Brat' Alex, v'znayemo. May the Holy Spirit bless your endeavor. Were you the one that said Ukies were usually their own worst enemies? Or was it me?
I think teaching will allow you to use many of the charismata our God has bestowed upon you and pass your great wisdom to other people and generations.

Dear Diak, I think we both demonstrated fairly well that Ukrainians can be their own worst enemies . God bless! Alex

Dear Diak: Is the "brat" in: in English or in Ukrainian? Just making sure I'm not treading on dangerous grounds! It seems you and Alex the Great of the Dominion of Canada are getting along well, thank you! Amado a Ukie by adoption?

God bless!
Alex Reminds me of a quote of a famous Labour politician in Britain, Ernest Bevin. When told that one of his colleagues was "his own worst enemy", Bevin responded, "Not while I'm alive, he ain't!!!!!!"

I think Alex and I would both admit we can be both the English and Ukrainian meanings of "brat" sometimes...

Dear Amado, Yes, we are getting along fine. As for Jordanville, well, we just don't go there. At least I don't But I have before and probably will again! A Ukrainian friend of mine has married a wonderful Filipino woman who attends our Church regularly. She fits in with everyone and we are very happy to have her! Since you asked to become a Ukrainian, I would ask you now to slightly incline your head (not all the way to the floor since that would make you 100% Ukrainian ), kiss your computer mouse three times as you spin around once in your chair while imagining blue and yellow colours with your eyes closed. And, voila, Slava Ukrayini, you is a Ukie, Brother! Vitayemo or Welcome. Mabuhay Ang Ukrayinas! Alex

Dear Diak, Yes, my sister-in-law always introduces her brother in this way: "This is my 'brat'. . ." What would we do without the Administrator? It's a shame he doesn't have consecratory powers, is all I can say . . . You'd be a bishop by now and I'd be . . . I'd be . . . an altar server. Although I can't really hold a candle to you . . . And to consummate becoming an honorary Ukie you must have the ceremonial eating of the kyshka, holubtsi, and varenyky, holding up a plate of all three underlain by a rushnik towards Kyiv three times.
Slava Ukraina!

What would we do without the Administrator? You mean because he lets us come crawling back without nary a "told you so"?

I'm having serious second thoughts . . . All those "rituals" and chomping seem burdensome! It's really hard to become Ukrainian!? Testing the Ruthenian waters . . . Amado

Dear Amado, Anhelyna is right. From now one, we'll call you "Lubomyr" or "Lover of peace." O.K., Lubomyr? The Ukrainian waters are blue with yellow sand. The Ruthenian cultural waters can be murky sometimes, as I understand . Alex
