Friends this poor wee laptop went down on me yesterday in a BIG way.

I ended up having to erase the hard drive and re-installing my Operating system - a really nasty evening's work.

Some things are up and running and other things have still to be sorted out .

I'll be around at times

Unfortunately when it happens, no matter how well backed up we think we are, it does not restore totally right. I say this after having one computer totally go down a couple of years back (due to old age), and recently my new home desktop have a major problem that required a complete system restore.

It is a shame that we have to add these problems to our growing list of life's fustrations. Hopefully, you will be back up and running well soon.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Well - this is about 24 hours after it happened - and though I have some things no matter what I and some very learned friends do , I don't have things like my e-mail folders/mail boxes , nor any of my favourites/bookmarks and even worse no address book frown

If this is a ploy to keep my off my Computer during Great and Holy Week - it seems to be working frown
