Dear Friends,

Everything is going very well.

Why are some of you saying this is another way for me to bow out of here?

Just because I was called some nasty names by Neil the Irish Melkite and only one of you (a Latin at that) came to my defence? wink The next time we get into an argument over the Filioque and Indulgences, you'll know whose side I'll be on then . . .

And just because this was compounded by the Administrator who wasn't sure whether Neil's remarks about me were correct or not?

It'll be a cold day in you-know-what before I'm pushed off the Byzantine Forum by an Irishman!

The Irish Catholic Bishops on this continent tried to do a number on our Churches - and they had as much success at that as they did in completely pushing the English off the Emerald Isle!

Ukraine Go Bragh!

Dear Alex:

It's . . . "refreshing" to watch you stomp your feet once in a while! biggrin

(Although my devout Irish RC brother-in-law might frown on such an unwarranted display of non-Irish braggadocio.) wink

Dear Amado,

Tell him that the most useless thing in the world to a woman on Saturday night . . . is an Irishman! smile

I think I've done enough mischief, like a leprechaun, on the Forum for one day.

I"ll drop by next month!

God bless, Byzantino-Filipino!

Mabuhay Ang Filipinas!

Alex- You apologized to Irish Melkite and to me and then you came here and made such remarks! You are irrepressible and apparently unrepentant.Sheesh. Just when is this promised sabbatical to commence?

Dear Daniel,

I have 17 Irish relatives who all showed up at one uncle's funeral.

I have an Irish aunt who calls me "Alastair" (like the starring actor in "A Christmas Carol").

And I love all the Irish - good, warm-hearted people that they are with such a history of national suffering!

God bless them and God bless you, especially tomorrow, the Feast of All Saints of Ireland!!

Alex
